This client had an idea for her bathroom counter top. She sourced a mill cut slab of black walnut, then hired me to form the table top around the toilet lid while adding a natural looking “live edge” that was both realistic and sanitary. I sanded the slab, sealing it with a matte sealer, leveled the vessel sink bowl and installing the faucet. Part of the slab was salvaged to add to the bottom as a storage shelf.
